L'vette Sonai is a novelist, poet and breast cancer survivor. She hails from a family of entertainers including musicians, songwriters, dancers, actors and visual artists. A former fashion model, L'vette's first creative love has always been the literary arts. Her favorite writers are F. Scott Fitzgerald and poetess Maya Angelou. Raised in Milwaukee, WI, she attended John Marshall High alongside acclaimed Director of The Hate U Give, Men of Honor and Soul Food , George Tillman, Jr. and former Deputy Chief of Staff for the Obama White House, Mona Sutphen. Sonai's Mulholland Diaries series, which has been described as a modern day Valley of the Dolls, has received rave reviews from around the world.
